Were you curious how other players create these giant builds, talk about "Schematics" or simply wish you could copy and paste your singleplayer home to a multiplayer server? Schematica can help!

Using Schematica, you can copy and save anything from any world into your Minecraft directory! That's pretty neat, huh?

Download Schematica Here:https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/schematica

Schematica, however, needs a core mod called "Lunatrius core" to function correctly.
Download Lunatrius Core Here: https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc ... atriuscore

You may be wondering, "I downloaded Schematica, now what?" Simple! In no time at all, you will be able to make a city if you follow these steps!

We need to set up the Schematica controls first. To prevent any crashes, some internal settings need to be turned off.

  • Step 1: Select the Options menu.
    Image
  • Step 2: Select the Video Settings menu.
    Image
  • Step 3: Turn Use VBOs to OFF
    Image
  • Step 4: Return to the Video Settings menu, & now click Performance.
    Image
  • Step 5: Turn OFF both Render Regions & Smart Animations.

What a relief! The settings are complete, so let's get to the hotkeys!

Image

Let's start with the Red Boxes.

Load Schematic: You are presented with your "Import" UI, which displays the Schematic Folder, where all of your downloaded and saved Schematics are stored. A Schematic can then be loaded into the world as a Hologram for placement by yourself or by the printer!

Manipulate Schematic: To move, flip, or rotate a Schematic when it is loaded into the world as a Hologram, you will need this UI.

Save Schematic: Schematics must be created by this UI in order to save in-game builds.

Toggle Printer: One of Schematica's best features is its printer, you know how exhausting it is to place something you've already constructed before piece by piece. Using the printer, Schematica will place the correct blocks in the Schematic file based on the items in your inventory! :D

Toggle Rendering: Holograms can be hidden for a while, so that players can collect more materials. This hotkey does exactly that.

The Green Box: Move Here is a Quality of life Hotkey. A Hologram can be moved to your Cursor's location when a Schematic is loaded.

The Dark Blue Box: Toggle All/Layer Mode This Technical addition is for players who are concerned about replicating their schematics layer by layer.

The Light Blue Boxes Next Layer/Pick Block/Previous Layer Are self explanatory. Next layer goes up by 1 on the Y coordinate, Previous Layer goes down by 1. Pick Block Will pickup a block you're looking at from within the Schematic.

Did you set your controls the way you wanted them to be? Great! Now let's look at each feature!

Let's begin with the Load Schematic UI.

Image

The water buckets highlighted by the Light Blue Box Are to help organize your Schematics, you can create Folders within the Schematics Folder. You can name them in any way you like, perhaps by building name or notable design. It's up to you.

The Grass Blocks highlighted by the Green Box Are your Schematic Files!

If you click on the Open Schematic Folder button, it will instantly open the Schematics directory.

This is what should happen when a schematic is loaded.

Notice how the Hologram Highlighted by the Light Blue Box is Displayed. It has a Light, Blue Hue of Transparency to it.
The Red Box shows the Schematic's boundary box. It will not go past this line.

Let's take a Look at how to Manipulate where our Hologram goes.

Image

What is Highlighted in The Green Box
Image
Is 2 Buttons, Materials This gives you a list of materials your Schematic needs in order to be built. Printer Which just toggles the printer ON & OFF

Within The Light Blue & Yellow Boxes are Several buttons to adjust the Hologram.

Image

Unload/All/And an option to edit a variable.
Unload Works as intended, it will unload the current Schematic's Hologram.
All Relates to all Layers within the Schematic being shown.
The Option to Select a Variable Determines which layer you want shown in the Hologram.

Operations Hide & Move Here are also very simple. Hide Will hide the Hologram for a moment.
Move Here will move the Hologram to your location.
Operations Flip and Rotate will Flip and or Rotate the Hologram based on the directions set in the Red Box shown above.

Now that we know how to Find, Load, and Move our Schematics, lets learn how to save our own.

Image

If you have ever used World Edit or MCedit before, this should be easy. If not, We're here to help! Within the Red Box Are a Few predetermined coordinates you can set to your position by pressing the Red Point Button.
Much like the Red Point Button The Blue Point Button within the Blue Box works in the same exact way.

As you can see in the Gifs, You can even Export your Selected Points as A Schematic File or Structure Block which Minecraft's Command Blocks use! WOW.

So that's pretty much all you need to know about Schematica.
Here's one last Gif of using the Printer Feature.
