Hmm read it wrong, I saw "Reset" not "Resent". My bad.

For those of us who have spent a lot of time breeding it would be a rather big blow to lose Pokemon. It's a lot of time and energy that would have been for naught. And as far as having an "unfair" advantage over new players, that's just life folks. There's nothing wrong with an older player having more/better pokes than a newer player. Those are the benefits to being a senior, loyal player. Stuff can be replaced and structures can be rebuilt, but the Pokemon are significantly more difficult to reproduce again. My 2 cents. #SoftReset

As stated in the post, all donated items will be returned after the hard reset takes place.

The thing is, the economy. All money is being reset... and since breeder have high IV pokemon.... they can make prices very high like they are now... a hard reset would make sure that wouldn't happen.

as much as it pains me to say it a a old player going through the update from 1.7 to 1.8 i must say for the good of everyone and to avoid further issues (hint hint rapid crashing) a hard reset is what we need. It will decrease the chances of extra issues. Now on the soft reset im fine with using the same maybe with same spawn and just reseting everything else (but i would also think it would be smart to include reseting pokemon) The map may change a bit going from a 1.8 to a 1.10 world but im guessing things like boss towers would still be in the same location roughly so people who already know where a boss tower is could simply write the cordinates down, gets a fly poke/ use there /fly command and fly to that boss tower and rebuild it to the way they had it or any other auto generated structure. that could cause unfair advantages on the new world as we would not have to search for these said boss towers (or other auto generated buildings).

Here's my 2 cents, and a little extra.

It would be a big blow to hard reset and delete everything in its entirely, especially to players who had been playing countless hours on the server 'earning' their stuff. (Losing items, the world and even the pokemons they've caught and bred, including iv breeding and legendaries). If anything, everyone (besides the players who had just started and have nothing to lose ofc) would want to keep as much of what they have, if possible.

This leads to a stationary, where everyone gets to keep everything that they have. The only would be issue of this is fellow players soon wanting to 'update' and get a grasp at the new pokemons developed for pixelmon. This would eventually lead to a reset at the end of the day needing to be done for a transition to new updates... We'll go no where w/ this but buy us some times in this version of pixelmon.

So the best of the two worlds collide. A Soft reset, where an update happens; new pokemons are brought into the game and players get to keep atleast something and not lose everything - everyone is happy. It's fair play, besides the money /bal that should also be reset to balance the economy in the new map/world.

What I don't understand is why this is even a poll, or a choice to be made. New accounts and players flood in everyday and they could care less for anything that happens to and on this server; unlike fellow players who had been here since day 1, grinding countless hours and days on the server for their stuff. As a new player, obviously I would want a hard reset hence I have got nothing to lose unlike others. Players who had been here for a while, like me; we've spent a lot of time on this game. And losing everything is not an option we would prefer, although keeping something and losing all is not a choice we would also like; it's the best option there is.

Everybody here knows I play on this server on the daily and what I have and have not. Before playing on this server, I've had given up on another server and transitioned here due to the owner of the previous server always resetting his server whenever he 'feels' like it - and that's every few weeks or so. You question yourself, why would I even spend my time on this server, building, mining, collecting and catching pokes and what not JUST to have it reset and gone in a few weeks. What a waste of time spent playing and supporting this server - I eventually chose and made a choice to leave that server.

All in all, losing my builds, the world and all the balls crafted, ores mined, mballs grinded is not something I would like. But if I get to keep my pokes atleast, I can live w/ that and handle the new builds upon a new world, and the mining. It would only be fair to have a hard reset if EVERYBODY including donators lose everything along w/ everyone, excluding commands is fine. If you can't live w/ that, how can you expect loyal players who's been playing on here for a while to live w/ it also. This poll is not a legitimate poll and shouldn't had even taken place. Anyone who creates and just joined the server can vote for a hard reset and rig/manipulate the poll; it's useless. If a hard reset is settled, this game and server would be pointless to play from now on to any and every players who had actually spent their time playing on it. I would take my leave, and I'm sure others would do the same. Lmk when the decision is made.

The current map is over a year old. The amount of space the server data takes up is stupid (including the player files). The lag is massive, and rollbacks are happening often because of this. If we just reset the map, we're only freeing up a tiny bit of space, as the world is big, but it's not the biggest thing on the server. I'm not going to even mention how petty the argument is for a soft reset. Honestly, if you can't take the fact that the server might reset you might as well leave. EVERY server resets. I've literally never been on a server that's had the same map for over a year. That includes items... This might just be me being a Factions player and praising resets because they bring a new meta and more opportunity but resets are AMAZING. I never got mad while playing factions after being the best for 5 months and then the server resetting because it's just something that happens. And I played countless hours on those servers! If you've seen me on Pixelmon I'M Literally on for more than 12 hours a day most days. That's how it was for factions. And ya, I'm a pretty new player, but I probably have more on-time than some people who have been here for 2 months, maybe more. 12 hours every day for 3 weeks. That's 10+ days of just playing this in the past 21.... That's a HUGE amount of playtime, and it continues to grow. What a hard reset will do, is it will introduce more players to actually having a chance at making it big on the server. The players who WILL LEAVE the server in the case of a hard reset are the same players who are at the top right now and are only leaving because they have to try to get to the top again. Anyways. If the server doesn't hard reset IDK what I'm going to do. This map is becoming boring for me, and that's because there is nothing I can do. I used to spend days looking for Zapdos and Moltres shrines, but I cant do that anymore because all of them (or 99%) are taken via usage or claimed. IDK. IDRC anymore. I just think it's petty you'd be willing to leave a community you've become a member of just because you're mad about losing progress. Also, if you leave Limitless, you're literally going to have the same problem. You'll join a server and have to start from scratch... the only difference being you don't have a community.

Okay, So you may have seen me "Rant" about this already, But. I have hunted shinies for hours/days/weeks. I have camped certain legends for days *cough* ho-oh. I have trained my pokemon, but I've only been here since may 27th... I still dont want to lose all my shinies. Someone donated for a shiny mew, and I traded for it, and I cloned it and got an enorm timid mewtwo, I used my makeshiny. I found out that I will only get the makeshiny back. not the mewtwo that i shinified.. I like soft because yeah, the map is crowded and corrupted, that has to go. But come on, All of that shiny and legend hunting. Gone. Down the drain. Having to redo that is like hell. Having to wait hours/days/months/ years to get back to where I was at. I dont like that. You may not agree with this, but no need to reply to my comment giving hate or whatever.
