Besides the economy, I also think a hard reset will change the servers Pixelmon meta game. Legendary pokemon honestly don't mean anything to me, nor to very good players. (no offense) The Pixelmon meta game is dominated by fully EV trained 6IV HA Pokemon and they're becoming common as fuck. You can buy a HA Salamance / Dragonite right now for less than 5k if you ask the right person. This makes players that only need to play for a week able to get some of the strongest Pokemon in the game. Where as it (I'm sure) took a team of players possibly weeks to find the HA. These Meta game dominant Pokemon should be worth at least 12-20k in the current economy. While the HA commonality makes the game slightly more balanced in terms of who has access to what Pokemon. The players that spent, or are willing to spend countless hours obtaining these Pokemon (aka the elite or veterans) are left doing all of that work only to have someone who has played for 2 weeks have the same meta game dominant Pokemon. While this isn't a perfect fix it took over a year for these HA powerhouses to become so common in the current map.
TL;DR - A hard reset will also fix the servers Pixelmon meta game.
