Saturday Tournaments

So, after a few trial runs, and some rule tweaking, I think we are ready for some more Official Limitless MC Tournaments.

Tournaments will be hosted most Saturdays Afternoons, although there might be some special Tournaments for Holidays and such. I encourage you to join as it will be a lot of fun, and you will have the Opportunity to see how you rank up on the server.
Along with having fun, Prizes will be given out at most (not all) tournaments. These prizes might include things from TMs/ingame Money to Legendary Pokemon.

At the Moment, Tournaments will be Hosted at /warp Arena, which is the Spawn Arena. I will be constructing an Arena solely for these Tournaments, so be sure to check in and see how the progress is coming. (I will post Pictures here).

Anyways, I hope you enjoy these Tournaments, and if you have any Suggestions for Tournament Themes or Wish to donate Prizes for a Tournament, Please Message me on the Forums or Ingame.

Below is a lot of Data things and numbers, you can skip this if you are not interested in how I got there numbers.
[spoiler="Now, let me Briefly explain how this Works."]So, Each person starts at 100 in the Fuzzy Index.
The formula for calculating your Fuzzy Index after a win is self.FuzzyIndex += ((other.FuzzyIndex/self.FuzzyIndex) * (10)) And for a Lose is self.FuzzyIndex -= ((self.FuzzyIndex/otherFuzzyIndex) * (10)) An Example of this: If player A has 100 in their Fuzzy Index and player B also has 100. If Player A beats Player B, Player A would Gain (100/100) * (10) = 10 and player B would lose that amount.
However, if Player A had 180, and B had 50 and B beat A there scores would change as following:
A's Fuzzy Index = 180 - (180/50 * 10) = 180 - 36 = 144
B's Fuzzy Index = 50 + (180/50 * 10) = 50 + 36 = 86 If this was reversed however, and player A beat B, we would end up with these Indexes
A's Fuzzy Index = 180 + (50/180 * 10) = 180 + 2.78 = 182.78
B's Fuzzy Index = 50 - (50/180 * 10) = 50 - 2.78 = 57.22So to sum it up, defeating an already high ranking player will give you more points in the Fuzzy Index, and defeating a low ranking one will yield almost none[/spoiler]

Where this Data comes from
Well, All of this Data is Taken from the Tournament Matches. If you participated in a Tournament and dont see your name it could be due to 2 things.

1. It might have been a Multi-Stage Tournament. If you were knocked out in the Group Stage, the Challonge site API does not yet support the output of data from those matches. Sorry
2. You might have used 2 Different names in the Tournament, and my code might have confused itself. If this is the Case, PM me either ingame or on the forums here and i can sort if out.

If you have not yet Participated in a Tournament, you should. They are a lot of fun and you have a chance to win in game currency, prize packs, or even Legendary Pokemon!

Accessing Your Data
Now, if you are interested in your stats in Particular. These can be easily Accessed from the Server Discord.
The simplest way to do this is to type !data YourName replaceing YourName with your IGName. (This command only works in the botchat)
Another way to do this is to first do !sync YourName, and then simply do !data. By doing !sync you link you Discord account with that given name. (There will be more functionality with syncing names, but that is all for right now)

I don't like the system this way, there's no guarantee you will ever face a high ranking player, say thesolvdow never plays a tournament again, his spot at the top is almost cemented there, and if you play a tournament and only face 1 good person whereas someone else faces 4, his index will be higher than yours for not even winning.

That is True, you might have a tournament that all players have 100 Points. However, this doesn't stop your score from sky rocketing. Lets say that you are in an 8 person Tournament.
there will be 4 winners in the 1st Round, and each of their scores will be 110, and the losers will be 90.
Now out of those 4 Winners, 2 of them will win again, and now have scores of 120, and 100 Respectfully. Finally, the last 2 will fight, and now have scores of 130 - 110.
So this being said, winning a Single Tournament with only 8 People will already put them in the top 10. So there isn't even a need to face a high level player. (Although winning against a stronger player, will improve you score more)

Not really True. Bakafish, who held the Top spot in the first 5 Tournaments, was passed by Him, even though her score increased. So, it is defiantly possible to reach 1st place, even if the current 1st placer's score remains the same (or increases).

Only Semi-true. First of all these "good person" are there for a reason. They are difficult to defeat. So, if someone was able to defeat 4 of them, he/she should get significantly more points than someone who only defeats one.

This all being said, As more people enter this Ranking list, I might need to tweak how points are given (maybe additional points for winning a tournament) along with a possible Decaying Points system, so players do now enter tournaments, their score will slowly decrease (maybe a few points a month)
I will post any additional information here as I implement any new Features

If it is possible could you change the times from Saturday afternoon to Saturday after sunset, or Sundays.
Saturday afternoon interferes with some of my personal life. I would really appreciate if you could change the times.
Friday after sunset is no good either for me, but i have more time Friday after sunset than Saturday before sunset.
This would really mean a lot if you could make this slight change.
